Biography
Teacher in the Portuguese public education system for 33 years, in the various subjects and specificities of the areas of Design and Drawing in regular and professional courses, she simultaneously developed her activity in the area of painting.
In the scope of teaching Plastic Arts and Design, particularly in the area of painting related to photography/image, she has developed over the years, several projects, with the goal of promoting and stimulating the importance of Visual Arts and related areas, enhancing the creativity and exploring the expressiveness through the use of several materials, whether they are scratchable, water-based or of another nature.
Born in Castelo Branco, she started her Textile Arts and Textile Design courses at Escola António Arroio, in Lisbon. Concluded her Bachelor's Degree in Education Sciences at the University of Minho and her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design at the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.
Since the 80's she has participated in several group and individual exhibitions, both in Portugal and abroad, among them - Centro de Arte Moderna, Espaço Rechelier in Paris, Tavares Proença Júnior Museum, S. Tomé Biennial, Marinha Museum, Biblioteca Municipal da Moita, Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, Jorge Vieira Museum, Expo Arte - FIL, A Arte no Feminino e o Feminino na Arte, Tinturaria - Exhibition Gallery in Cuvilhã.

Recently (2019/20), she participated in the XII edition of the Florence Biennale and held a solo exhibition at the Cascais Cultural Centre in Cascais - D.Luis l Foundation, following the same exhibition to the Francisco Tavares Proença Júnior Museum.
